Beverage and Food Product Biological Testing
Babcock Labs is proud to announce a new line of testing services! On January 19, 2012, our lab received official notification of accreditation through the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA) for the bacteriological testing of beverage and food products. This new line of testing will allow us to become a “one stop shop” for our clients in the food and beverage industry.
The health and welfare of the public is a top priority for all food and beverage manufacturers. With these new test offerings, our laboratory will provide our customers with unparalleled service and value in achieving this goal. Our long history of microbiological testing provides the foundation for our current expertise in both food and environmental bacteriology. Food and beverage clients can rely on our assistance with bacteriological monitoring to help ensure the quality and safety of their products.
Adding official third party accreditation is an extensive and rigorous process. While many labs are unwilling to invest the time and resources necessary to do this, Babcock Labs is dedicated to providing our clients with the kind of quality assurance A2LA accreditation confers. A2LA is a non-profit, non-governmental membership society that provides comprehensive services in laboratory accreditation and training. The programs developed and administered by A2LA are based on internationally accepted criteria for laboratory competence.
This new line-up of testing will allow our lab to better serve our food industry clients. Working with a single lab for all analytical needs provides the benefits of consistent reporting, a single point of contact, and the consolidation of extra costs, such as sample collection and transportation.
